Alpha Kappa Psi

Mu Rho Chapter

A Letter From The President

Hello! Welcome to our website.

I know I speak on behalf of all our Brothers, both currently active as well as alumni, when I say your interest in our organization is greatly appreciated. I encourage you to explore our website or any of our various other social media to get a greater feel for our Fraternity, our Chapter, and our Brothers.

Firstly, what is Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi)? Established in 1904, AKPsi is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the nation with over 350 chapters in 4 countries. Here at UT Dallas, we are the Mu Rho Chapter. Alumni of the Mu Rho chapter have gone on to hold prestigious positions all across the country in every major sector of the business world, including various household-name firms. Incoming pledges have diverse backgrounds, ranging from international students to former military members and students from every imaginable corner and college of UT Dallas.

However, even within this incredibly diverse network, one thing remains common, and it’s a phrase you might hear fairly often if attending one of our recruitment events. Above all, Alpha Kappa Psi is “...a community of highly motivated and like-minded individuals...”. Regardless of where it is that they’re going, all our Brothers are driven, persistent, and ambitious. Our fraternity prides itself on being the premier developer of principled business leaders - with an emphasis on “principled.” All Brothers of AKPsi strive to live by our 5 core values: Brotherhood, Service, Integrity, Unity, and Knowledge. The Mu Rho Chapter aims to illuminate these values in all Brothers through our unique pledge program, in which we aim to develop the foundations of the business world, fundamentals of leadership, but also, and perhaps most importantly, what it means to be a Brother.

So, what does it mean to be a Brother? Before I answer that question, I would like to stress one crucial thing - admittance into AKPsi is so much more than just another “line item” on your resume or a club to mention at an interview. Being a Brother means being a part of a close-knit family, one that encompasses the globe, one that intertwines Mentorship and Brotherhood, one where you will build bonds to last a lifetime, and one where you can find genuine support and motivation to drive forth your ambitions.

At my very first time attending a recruitment event, I realized that this was the community I was searching for. I am immensely grateful for this family that has shaped my character and the person that I am. As such, I’m even more excited for my years to come as a part of this lifelong Brotherhood.

I’d like to thank you once more for your time and interest. I’d love to meet you at one of our virtual recruitment events or chat anytime about anything I could help you with! In the meantime, please feel free to contact me at utd.akpsi.president@gmail.com with any questions or concerns you might have. For any questions regarding our next recruitment cycle, you can always contact our VP of Public Relations, Advika Sampath at utd.akpsi.vppr@gmail.com.
