Serving with Integrity, Unified by Brotherhood.
The Mu Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at The University of Texas at Dallas is actively dedicated to making an impact in the community. Following the core value of service, the brotherhood plans to continue this tradition by organizing impactful events and contributing to causes within our community.
Currently headed by the Vice President of Service, Ananya Yarlagadda, and the Service Committee (Pictured Below), who are making strides to improve the community within and outside of Alpha Kappa Psi!

Plano Children's Medical Center
During the rush Service Night PNMS and Brothers came together to make blankets for children at the Plano Children's Hospital, offering warmth and comfort to those facing difficult times. Through this hands-on service project, we were able to make a direct impact, bringing a sense of care and support to kids in need. But Service Night is about more than just giving back—it’s about working side by side, strengthening our bonds, and embodying the values of compassion and generosity that AKPsi stands for. It serves as a reminder of how much we can achieve together and the importance of making a difference beyond ourselves.
Landmark at Plano - Rehabilitation and Nursery Center
Visiting the nursing home for Valentine’s Day was a heartwarming experience that allowed us to spread joy and connect with the elders in a meaningful way. We spent time playing games, making heartfelt cards, and sharing conversations, bringing smiles to their faces and brightening their day. It was a reminder of the power of simple gestures—how a game, a handmade card, or just listening can make someone feel valued and appreciated. By coming together to give back, we embodied the values of AKPsi and left with a greater appreciation for the impact small acts of care can have on others.
