The AKPsi Market Fund
The Market Fund is a student-run investment group managed by the Mu Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at UT Dallas. As the university’s first student-managed investment fund, it gives members hands-on experience in portfolio management, market research, and financial decision-making.
The fund is organized into five market sectors, led by three directors and a team of over twenty analysts. Together, members analyze companies, monitor market trends, and make data-backed investment decisions while learning what it takes to manage a real portfolio.
We follow a long-only investment strategy, focused on identifying securities that can outperform their respective sector benchmarks over time. The goal isn’t just to beat the market, it’s to develop the skills, discipline, and insight that define great investors.
The Market Fund reflects AKPsi Mu Rho’s broader mission to connect classroom learning with real-world experience. It’s a space where students can challenge themselves, build financial literacy, and gain the kind of practical knowledge that lasts well beyond college.
